Indonesian cinemas were still showing Hollywood movies Saturday despite an importers’ boycott after the government imposed a new distribution tax.
In Central Jakarta, TIM XXI is still airing The King’s Speech, No Strings Attached, and The Mechanic, while in Yogyakarta, Ambarukmo Plaza 21 is showing The Green Hornet and The American, tribunnews.com reported on Saturday.
A 23.5-percent distribution tax for Hollywood movies took effect last month, RCTI reported.
